Christianson’s 17th Annual Rose Festival 2020
Garden experts from around the Pacific Northwest will gather at the Nursery to offer gardeners current information on the hottest trends in rose care. Gregarious keynote speakers Ciscoe Morris and John Christianson (AKA “The Rosebuds”) will talk about their favorite roses and rose companions again this year! Leading up to Ciscoe and John’s talk we are pleased to host florist influencer and owner of Seattle’s Casablanca Floral, Maura Whalen, who will demonstrate trade secrets for extending the life of your roses in an arrangement, and U.S. Sales Executive Rebecca Koraytem who will discuss the glorious aspect of fragrance in several of David Austin rose varieties. All presentations will be held under the Big Tent in our Schoolhouse Garden.
Calling All Rosarians
As part of Christianson’s Annual Rose Festival, the Tri-Valley Rose Society is hosting its Rose Display in our Schoolhouse and is extending an invitation to amateurs and experts alike to submit their roses to be voted on in the following categories: Best in Show, Best Fragrant Rose and Best Floral Display incorporating perennials with roses. Ciscoe Morris and John Christianson will announce the winners and a $50 gift certificate will be awarded. Entries must be submitted between 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. on the day of the Festival.
