Intro to Bonsai
Discover the art of bonsai in this hands-on workshop designed for plant lovers of all ages and experience levels. Together, we’ll explore the fascinating history of bonsai, learn about several classic bonsai styles, and discuss the basic techniques used to shape, maintain, and care for these living works of art.
With guidance throughout the class, you’ll select and design your own bonsai tree, then pot it up to take home and enjoy for years to come. All materials are provided.
No prior experience is needed—just a curiosity for plants and a willingness to get your hands a little dirty. We recommend dressing comfortably, as this is a hands-on gardening class.

Landscaping with Native Plants
Learn to landscape with Native Plants!
Native Plants have evolved over time to thrive within our local growing conditions. Our water habits, soil types, and pests are all challenges they already know how to handle. And, local pollinators, birds, and other beneficial organisms have evolved to interact with them, too. So, how can you best use Native Plants in your growing spaces?
In this class, we’ll explore questions to ask when choosing your Native Plants, how and when to plant them, tips’n’tricks for creating visually enticing beds, and some of our top Native Plant picks.
