Did you know there are all sorts of animals to see while visiting Christianson’s Nursery? As you stroll the grounds, we invite you to visit our eclectic and entertaining family of animals. Be sure to stop by the Propagation House to see pairs of African Ring Neck doves housed in oversized antique aviaries. Did you know all of our doves were all given to us? They bring us lots of joy and, every once in a while, a new family member!
Towards the south area of the Nursery, our flock of free-range Rhode Island Red chickens exist happily next to the larger farm animals, Rosie the llama and our dwarf goat, Iris. In 2021, we added rabbits to the family! The bunnies live in the large aviary enclosure in the middle of the rose area, also in the south area of the Nursery.
Many months of the year we have fish in our cistern that features water plants, located along the north side of Primrose, the Nursery’s gift and antique shop.
And last but certainly not least, you will often see our friendly golden retriever, Bloomy, trotting down the pathways carrying a slobbery tennis ball in her mouth. She is a super sweet young pup who loves nothing more than chasing her ball and following our staff around the grounds.
